The journey behind the Beauty from Ashes movement began in the quiet, private moments of a woman’s deepest breaking.
Before it became a globally recognized women’s conference, Beauty from Ashes started as God’s personal rescue mission in the life of Dr. Yonnicka, a seasoned pastor, Bishop, respiratory therapist, and the founder of Breathe Life Ministries (BLM).
What many witness- a ministry built to change lives- was first forged in a season of ashes. Her experience became the spark that ignited the Beauty from Ashes Conference.
The Vision: From Crisis to Calling
What began as a story of personal survival has grown into a global calling.
In a dramatic culmination of years of enduring a life of emotional and psychological trauma, Dr. Yonnicka became a survivor of domestic violence in front of her 7-year-old son.
Through tears, grief, and questions, God began rebuilding her life piece by piece, showing her that beauty can still emerge from ashes.
After experiencing her own season of heartbreak, God spoke to her through the words of Isaiah 61:3, revealing the mission ahead. The mission was to restore women who believe their lives have burned down to nothing.
In that journey of healing, God transformed her private wounds into public ministry. As God breathed life back into her, she realized He was preparing her to breathe life into other women healing from trauma like abuse, grief, depression, family crisis, loss, and the silent battles that often go unseen.
Paired with her theological training and leadership experience, Dr. Yonnicka built a conference that not only inspires women but restores them.
The Birth of BLM and Beauty from Ashes Conference
The Beauty from Ashes Conference is a branch of the Breathe Life Ministries, a nonprofit ministry serving various categories of women. These include;
